What's the Teacher Been Up To?

Image
What have I been up to?    Mostly gardening. Enjoying the long-anticipated sunshine and warmth. Unfortunately, the piano is indoors. If it were any other instrument, I’d probably take it outside to practice. I suppose I could drag the digital piano outside,   but . . . never mind.    But I haven’t ignored my music. That would be the day!    I went with the King family from  Ross Haven Bible Camp twice this month to accompany their family quartet on “I Am Your Shield” by Rachel Wissman. [Include YouTube Link] This isn’t us. It’s just to give you an idea of the song, because if you’ve never heard it before, it is a great song.    Then there was this week. I got to play handbells! Quick Update

In a previous post, I'd mentioned that I would be playing in a handbell concert at Enwhistle Community Church, but I didn't know the time. What?! It's not enough for Mom and Dad to sign their child up for once-a-week, half-hour music lessons? How about every festival and competition and performance in the area? Music camps in summer? Will that be enough?    Sorry. No.    By now you're thinking, "Great. How many places does Sarah expect us to drive our children around to? In fact, what is she expecting? She's the one who told us that we were going to have half-hour music lessons once a week. And now she says we have to do more?! What kind of 'more' does she want us doing?"    Glad you asked! And breathe easy. I know you all are busy. All that I'm asking you to do can be done from the comfort of your own home. And it starts with this: Read this post. That's all! No extra driving required. ;)  Have a great week!
