Blogging Changes
Hello, everyone,
Well, you've probably noticed.
I haven't blogged much in the last few months.
When I started blogging in 2018, it was to make sure that the studio had a strong online presence that I could use to reach potential customers. I also have always enjoyed writing, and it wasn't hard for me to come up with things to write about.
Fast forward to 2025. My student count is strong, I now have a social media presence via Facebook, and I'm no longer feeling the need to push myself forward in the advertising field as much. Plus, there is another factor... and that's that I've nearly run out of things to say, at least, for the time being.
I always dread seeing these kind of blog posts on the blogs I like. Because you know, once you reach this point, that it means an end. But the fact is, blogging no longer fits into my life -- at least, not regular blogging. There are some things you will still see for sure: the Word of the Week and the bi-annual Recital Prep Posts. There are some things you may see. If I get a thought that has to spill over, I'll still have a spot to spill it over into.
You might also see a shift in what I'm posting.
See, as said, I also enjoy writing. I've a couple projects that have been on the go for a long time now. So it could very well be that you'll be seeing less about piano and piano teaching, and more about the two books -- a children's illustrated book and a YA novella -- that I do hope to publish sometime over the course of the next 10 years. (Or sooner. I've learned not to set deadlines that are too ambitious for myself.)
You will also still see me on social media. As said, I am using Facebook, and I will probably add in Instagram or another platform as time goes on. And I still hope to do more with YouTube in the future.
My brothers claim that I have a song for every occasion. So I'll leave you with a couple of goodbye songs, one nostalgic and one cheerful.
